Choosing my Cover Picture.
Out of the many pictures I took with different people and locations I have decided on using this picture.
I chose this as I think it would represent a new country singer well as stereotypically female country singers are usually represented in this way. It also shows off the costume well as you can see the cowboy boots and plaid shirt which is quite typical for country singers.

My Google Mockup.
This is my google mockup and I did it to show the layout I would want to go for and possible colour schemes I can use.

Taking My Pictures
When we went to take the pictures the weather wasn't the best but that can be sorted in editing as this was the only time the pictures could have been taken however, we managed to get quite a lot of shots during the time we had in a few different locations around the farm.
Sorting Out A Location
As I am doing a country music magazine I thought that it would be appropriate to make sure my pictures were taken outside in a rustic looking area to make it look authentic. Therefore, I asked my friend if I was allowed to take the pictures in and around her stables as I thought we would be able to get some good shots from that location. We organised this and made sure that both my models would come appropriately dressed and looked the part for being country singers.

My Audience Research Data
Here is my survey and its results, 24 people answered it:
The other question I asked was 'What kind of brands do you like?' This was to help me try and choose what I could include in my magazine plug and advertisements wise. This came up with results such as:
Keds, Converse, Coors Light, Cover Girl, Diet Coke, Lipton Tea, Ram Trucks and Apple.

My Price
Below is a graph showing the results from my survey. It tells me that the majority of my target audience would want to spend between £3.65-£3.99 for a monthly magazine. Therefore I will price my magazine at £3.99.
Country Music People is already an online monthly music magazine which relates to my chosen genre. The magazine sells at £5.45 per month however, this includes postage and packaging because the magazine can only be ordered on-line. To attract more customers the magazine holds a discounted subscription offer.
For £5.45 Country Music People has on average 80 pages including full advertisement pages so for a monthly magazine I think I should have around 80 pages as well.

My Magazine Name
Surrounding my genre I was thinking of different possible names for my magazine that could I could use which would fit in with Country music. My ideas are:
From these I have decided upon the name C&W. This choice was made by my own opinion and by asking my peers.
I chose this name because I think it clearly shows the reader what the genre the music magazine will be based on and it is shortened which could make it easier to be made into a house name/convention/logo.
- C&W (meaning country and western)
- Swing
- Twang
- Fiddle
- Outlaw
